CEVA Season 2 Wrap-Up: Celebrating Filipino Volleyball Across Canada

CEVA Season 2 Wrap-Up: Celebrating Filipino Volleyball Across Canada The Calgary Elite Volleyball Association (CEVA) has officially wrapped up Season 2: Heritage Edition, marking another successful tournament and an important milestone in the organization's journey. Held on October 10–11, 2026, at Volleydome Calgary, Season 2 marked CEVA's first-ever All-Filipino volleyball tournament, bringing together 32 teams — 26 men's and 6 women's — for two days of exciting competition, cultural pride, and community building. Athletes travelled from across Canada, including British Columbia, Saskatchewan, Manitoba, Ontario, and cities throughout Alberta, to take part in this special edition of CEVA. Beyond the competition, what made Heritage Edition memorable was the sense of community throughout the weekend. Filipino culture was evident both on and off the court, as players, families, friends, and supporters came together to celebrate their shared heritage and love for volleyball. From competitive matches to moments of camaraderie between teams, Season 2 demonstrated how volleyball can bring people together beyond the game itself. More Than Just Volleyball While the competition was at the heart of the weekend, Heritage Edition represented something bigger than volleyball. Bringing together Filipino athletes from different provinces, cities, and communities created an opportunity to reconnect, build new friendships, and celebrate a shared culture through sport. For CEVA, this was an important step toward building not only competitive volleyball tournaments but also a welcoming community where athletes can come together regardless of where they call home. We hope that everyone who participated left with more than just memories of the matches they played, but also new connections and experiences worth remembering. Thank You for an Unforgettable Season 2! To all our athletes, team captains, coaches, spectators, referees, volunteers, organizing staff, and everyone who contributed to the weekend — thank you! Your participation, cooperation, and support played an important role in making Season 2 a success. We recognize the time, effort, and commitment involved in travelling to compete, and we truly appreciate you choosing to be part of CEVA. From our inaugural Summer Open to our first All-Filipino Heritage Edition, we are grateful for how much this community has grown and for everyone who continues to support what we are building. Season 2 may have come to an end, but our journey continues. Up Next: CEVA Season 3 — 2027! We're excited to announce that CEVA Season III is coming in 2027!
